We have mastered the elements – the gentle waves of the Danube, the cool mountain air, and the heat of the stove. On the latter, we allow our style to emerge playfully with finesse, experience, and imagination: light brasserie cuisine of the highest standard, shaped by international influences and interwoven with traditional Austrian classics. The focus is on organic products from the region, top wines from Austrian winemakers, and first-class service amidst the unique landscape of the Wachau World Heritage Site.
The On-board Gastronomy.
Effortless enjoyment on the water, always freshly prepared on board: On the DDSG ships MS Austria, MS Wachau, and MS Dürnstein, we serve selected seasonal and regional ingredients – from breakfast to lunch and afternoon snack to dinner – refined and authentic at the same time. For a taste of Wachau at home, our on-board specialities are also available to take away.
The Jauerling.
A modern twist on traditional ski lodge charm. At Patrick Fürst on the Jauerling, it’s about more than just satisfying your appetite after a day on the snow: the goulash is made from Wachau Wagyu beef, the toast from an organic bakery in Krems, the eggs from the neighbouring village. Fine dining is celebrated here, and champagne is also served at the bar. Life can be so beautiful.
